Provisional Results and Championship Points from Round 4 of the Trydel EZI UP and GO Victorian Hill Climb Championship.
The 2024 Trydel Victorian Hill Climb Championship continued on Sunday 21st of April, where a huge field of 92 entries lined up to take on the figure 8 course at Bryant Park for the first time since 2022.
Weather conditions started off cool but the competition on track quickly warmed up once the first runs had been completed and competitors had a taste of the track conditions.
David Mahon set the pace all day, with a best time of 53.01 set on his 3rd run of the day, resetting the class record in Formula Libre up to 1300cc in the process.
Mike Barker pushed David all the way, posting a best time of 53.33 on his 4th run of the day. Ewen Moile rounded out the podium with a best time of 56.84, also on the 4th run of the day.
Matthew Healy was 4th in his Yacar Crosskart, making Ewen work hard for the podium but falling just .04 short with a 56.88. Peter Minahan rounded out the top 5 with a 58.73
Fastest tin top proved to be very close with Zachary Hanlin in a BMW M140i (62.20) pipping James Dyer in his Toyota GR Yaris (62.57), Jordan James in his Mitsubishi Evo Lancer (62.60), Rhys Yeomans in his Honda Civic (62.76) and Warren Heath in his Ford Laser (62.94).
Christine Crombie was the fastest female around the Figure 8 course with a time of 70.77 in her 3rd run of the day which was fast enough for 6th in class in Improved Production 2WD 3001cc and over.
Class records broken at this event include:
Formula Libre up to 1300cc - David Mahon with a 53.01 (previous record 56.71)
Improved Production 0-1600cc - Rhys Yeomans with a 62.76 (previous record 62.84)
Improved Production 3001cc and over - Zachary Hanlin with a 62.20 (previous record 63.15)
Historic Group N up to 2000cc - Steven Weymouth-Wilson with a 64.51 (previous record 65.41)

Reminder to all competitors that entries for Round 5 at Rob Roy are NOW OPEN, with entries currently at 25. Entries will close on the 16/5, with competition being on Sunday 19th May.
Please note that the original Rob Roy course will be used for this event (no chicane).
